On June 23, 2024, Vogue World took place in Paris, becoming an extraordinary spectacle that combined the worlds of fashion and sport in a celebration of French heritage. The event, held at Place Vendôme, was conceived in collaboration with youth athletic academies from throughout France and paired different sports—cycling, gymnastics, tennis, fencing, breaking, and others—with iconic decades in French fashion, going back to the 1920s.

Attendees saw stunning pieces from designers such as Simon Porte Jacquemus, Olivier Rousteing, Marine Serre, and Pharrell Williams. The show included over 500 athletes, performers, surprise guests, and models, including notable names like Loli Bahia, Kendall Jenner, Paloma Elsesser, Ashley Graham, Jill Kortleve, Amelia Gray, and Abby Champion.

A Celebration in the Heart of Paris
Anna Wintour, Vogue Global Editorial Director and Condé Nast Chief Content Officer, described the event as “a kind of opening ceremony” that celebrated 100 years of fashion and sport, highlighting the extraordinary city of Paris. Wintour, along with esteemed guests, held a press conference in February at the famous Ritz Paris in Place Vendôme to announce the event. She was joined by designers Simon Porte Jacquemus, Olivier Rousteing, Marine Serre, and Pharrell Williams, as well as Bruno Pavlovsky, Executive President of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, and a number of French athletes, including fencer Enzo Lefort.
