2020 is coming to an end, which means it's time to take stock. Spotify, the world's most popular audio streaming subscription service, analyzed what music was selected by 320 million users worldwide, and collected the tracks, artists and playlists preferred by Kazakhstani listeners. Also on December 2, personal statistics of listening to music became available to Kazakh users in the application since the launch of the service on July 15. It will help you find out which tracks and artists they liked the most, and also show how long users listened to music and which genres prevailed. The statistics are individual for each Spotify user.

Spotify - самый популярный в мире аудиостриминговый сервис по подписке  -  проанализировал, какую музыку выбирали 320 миллионов пользователей из разных стран, и собрал треки, исполнителей и плейлисты, которым отдавали предпочтение казахстанские слушатели. Также 2 декабря, казахстанским пользователям в приложении стала доcтупна персональная статистика прослушивания музыки с момента запуска сервиса 15 июля. Она поможет узнать, какие треки и исполнители полюбились больше всего, а также покажет, сколько времени пользователи слушали музыку и какие жанры преобладали. Статистика индивидуальна для каждого пользователя Spotify.

The interests of many Spotify listeners in Kazakhstan in 2020 corresponded to global trends - the rating of the best performers was no exception, where representatives of the hip-hop genre became leaders: MORGENSHTERN, The Weeknd, Drake, Travis Scott, as well as Scryptonite, which took first place.

However, the K-Pop genre has grabbed the top spot on most of the rest of the charts. For example, the list of the most popular groups includes three K-Pop groups at once, including the girl group BLACKPINK and Stray Kids. And topped the charts are Korean boy band BTS, which has become a global phenomenon in 2020. The representatives of the Korean pop achieved absolute leadership in the chart of the most popular albums, where they took four positions out of five.

Популярность K-Pop заметна и в рейтинге лучших треков, где они занимают две позиции из пяти, соседствуя с композициями «Москва любит...» от Скриптонита, «Blinding Lights» от канадского исполнителя The Weeknd и «WAP (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)» от представительниц хип-хопа Cardi B и Megan Thee Stallion. Абсолютное лидерство представители корейского попа добились в чарте самых популярных альбомов, где заняли четыре позиции из пяти.

The people of Kazakhstan also liked the work of Halsey, the author of the hits “Closer” in a duet with The Chainsmokers and “New Americana”. Interestingly, the Kazakhstani rating of the most popular performers on Spotify differs from the global one in only one position: if the world listens to Taylor Swift more, in Kazakhstan Cardi B is preferred.

Что касается рейтинга самых популярных исполнительниц, то здесь мировые звёзды заняли все места. Чаще всего казахстанцы слушали Ariana Grande, которую в 2019 году Spotify назвал самой популярной артисткой десятилетия, а также триумфатора престижной музыкальной премии Грэмми-2020 Billie Eilish. В топ-5 попали и Dua Lipa, чей альбом «Future Nostalgia» в апреле 2020 года побил рекорды Spotify как самый прослушиваемый в день альбом, записанный исполнительницей из Великобритании. Казахстанцам приглянулось и творчество Halsey - автора хитов «Closer» в дуэте с The Chainsmokers и «New Americana». Интересно, что казахстанский рейтинг самых популярных исполнительниц в Spotify отличается от глобального всего в одной позиции: если в мире больше слушают Taylor Swift, то в Казахстане отдают предпочтение Cardi B.
