- Katerina, how long have you been doing art?

«I started painting at the age of 11, but I didn’t think it would be a hobby for my whole life».

- Екатерина, как давно вы занимаетесь искусством?

«Рисовать я начала лет с 11, но не думала, что это будет увлечением всей моей жизни».

 - Where did you learn the art of drawing?

«As a child, I went to an art studio, then I studied at Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the faculty of architecture. I learned the basics of sand drawing from artists from Moscow, and then continued to improve the technique herself».

- Где вы обучались мастерству рисования?

«В детстве ходила в изо-студию, затем училась в КазГАСА на архитектурном факультете. Азам песочного рисунка училась у художников из Москвы, а дальше совершенствовать технику продолжила сама».

- What are the features in sand painting?

«Sand is a natural material and therefore, in order for the drawing to turn out, it is necessary to «make friends» with the sand, to feel its structure, to love it. Each artist has his own style of drawing, and the search for this style, its formation takes a lot of time and effort. With the sand is the same».

- Какие есть особенности в рисовании песком?

«Песок природный материал и поэтому, чтобы рисунок  получился необходимо «подружиться»  с песком, почувствовать его структуру, полюбить его. Еще у каждого художника есть свой стиль рисования, и поиск этого стиля, его формирование занимают немало времени и сил. С песком то же самое».

- What is the most difficult picture of the sand you created?

«The most difficult thing to do is portraits, because besides the face of a person, I want to show his character, look. I am very happy when I can show it».

- Какую самую сложную картину из песка вы создавали?

«Сложнее всего рисовать портреты, потому что кроме лица человека хочется показать его характер, взгляд. Очень радуюсь, когда мне это удается показать».

- How do you set up before the show?

«Before the performance, I am always very excited, worried, but when the music begins to play, under which the show passes, I completely immerse myself in the process, and the excitement passes».

- Как вы настраиваетесь перед шоу?

«Перед выступлением я всегда очень волнуюсь, переживаю, но когда начинает играть музыка, под которую  проходит шоу, я полностью погружаюсь в процесс, и волнение проходит».

- Is sand a capricious brush?

«The sand is very sensitive to the mood of the artist. If you start painting in the bad mood, the sand will electrify, stick to your hands, and so on. But more often it quickly passes, as all the negative sand removes the sand».

- Песок – это капризная кисть?

«Песок очень чувствителен к настроению художника. Если начать рисовать с плохим настроем, то песок будет электризоваться, липнуть к рукам и так далее. Но чаще всего это быстро проходит, так как весь негатив песок убирает».

- What other materials do you work with?

«I love to learn different new drawing techniques and use different materials. But my favorite material was and still is (along with sand) watercolor».

- С какими еще материалами вы работаете?

«Я люблю изучать разные новые техники рисования и использовать разные материалы. Но любимым материалом у меня была и остается (наравне с песком) акварель».

- Tell us about your team.

«ArtBota creative studio is the place where I have been creating since 2019. Our team is Fairies of creativity. We paint with sand, water, glitter, light, fire, watercolors, ink, acrylics and crayons. It's great that there is an opportunity to express oneself in creativity without limitations, I use various materials and give positive emotions to others».

- Расскажите о вашей команде

«Студия креативного творчества АртБота - это место, где я творю с 2019 года. Наша команда - это Феи творчества. Мы рисуем песком, водой, блестками, светом, огнем, акварелью, чернилами, акрилом и карандашами.  Прекрасно, что  есть возможность  проявить себя в творчестве без ограничений, использую различные материалы и дарить положительные эмоции другим».
