Last weekend, at an altitude of 3200 meters above sea level, competitions were held for the best tricks in flight and gliding from skiers and snowboarders. The fifth competition from Gorilla Winter Jungle 2K22 was held in the highest mountain snow park of the CIS, which operates at the Shymbulak ski resort. Takeoffs from a large springboard from the masters performing crazy tricks, which the audience watched with bated breath. It was the first time a sports competition of this format was held at the highest point in Central Asia, it took more than a week to lift the necessary equipment. Such competitions are a huge contribution to the development of extreme sports in Kazakhstan, the development of freestyle snowboarding and alpine skiing.

В минувшие выходные на высоте 3200 метров над уровнем моря прошли соревнования на лучшие трюки в полете и скольжении от лыжников и сноубордистов. В самом высокогорномсноупарке СНГ, который действует на горнолыжном курорте «Шымбулак», состоялись пятыесоревнования от Gorilla Winter Jungle 2K22. Взлеты с большого трамплина от мастеров, совершающих сумасшедшие трюки, за которыми зрители наблюдали затаив дыхание.Спортивное состязание такого формата впервые проходило на самой высокой точке вЦентральной Азии, только на подъем необходимого оборудования ушло больше недели. Такие соревнования - огромный вклад в развитие экстремальных видов спорта в Казахстане, развитие фристайл направлений сноуборда и горных лыж.

“Our event was held at a high level, despite the difficult location and weather conditions, which were very changeable,” comments one of the organizers, host of the competition, Alexander Kuchura. - It was foggy in the morning, which scared us a little, because it is quite difficult and dangerous to perform tricks on the fly in zero visibility, but soon the sun came out, and everything went very cool without any hitches, in one breath. The mood of the participants and the public that came to support us was excellent, because first of all, we hold freestyle competitions and competitions specifically for the audience, and seeing their smiles is the most important thing for us. For me personally, it is a discovery that we have created a category of amateurs, and we do not have professional athletes who represent the skiing team. But, every time I see that the level of the guys participating in the competition is not inferior, but rather increases. If we take the financial component of the freestyle project and raise the bar for competitions, we plan to expand partnerships with other brands, attract professional athletes from other regions, raise the prize fund and give some kind of start-up for beginner athletes.”

«Наше мероприятие прошло на высоком уровне, не смотря на сложную локацию и погодные условия, которые были очень переменчивы, - комментирует один из организаторов, ведущий соревнований, Александр Кучура. - С утра был туман, что немного нас напугало, ведь исполнять трюки на лету в нулевой видимости достаточно сложно и опасно, но вскоре вышло солнце, и все прошло очень круто без каких-либо заминок, на одном дыхании. Настроение уучастников и публики, что пришла нас поддержать, было отличным, ведь прежде всего, мыпроводим соревнования и состязания по фристайлу именно для зрителей, и видеть их улыбкидля нас это самое важное. Лично для меня является открытием, что мы создали категориюлюбителей, и у нас нет профессиональных спортсменов, которые представляют сборную погорнолыжным видам спорта. Но, каждый раз я вижу, что уровень ребят, участвующих всоревнованиях не уступает, а наоборот, возрастает. Если брать финансовую составляющую проекта по фристайлу и повышать планку по проводимым соревнованиям, мы планируем расширять партнерство с другими брэндами, привлекать профессиональных спортсменов из других регионов, поднимать призовой фонд и дать некий стартап для начинающих спортсменов».

67 riders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia were registered for participation in Gorilla Winter Jungle in several directions. Big Air - this discipline is aimed at performing tricks, amplitude ski jumping, exciting tricks during a big flight; Jibbing - this direction of riding is based on sliding on special figures (railings, boxes, edges), while the riders perform various tricks; and Freestyle Show. The guests were treated to a demonstration show by professional athletes Gorilla Pro Team, specially invited guests from Russia: Andrey Anufriev (St. Petersburg), freeski; Arkady Kazakov (Kirovsk), freeski; Anton Samorokov (Norilsk), snowbord; Artem Ushakov (St. Petersburg), snowbord. They also evaluated the competitions among the participants, charging everyone with powerful sensations and emotions. Unfortunately, Gorilla Winter Jungle only takes place once a year, which is not enough for both riders and spectators.

На участие в Gorilla Winter Jungle было зарегистрировано 67 райдеров из Казахстана, Кыргызстана и России в нескольких направлениях. Big Air - данная дисциплина направлена навыполнение трюков, амплитудные прыжки с трамплинов, захватывающие трюки во времябольшого полета; Jibbing — это направление катания основано на скольжении по специальнымфигурам (перила, боксы, грани), при этом райдеры выполняют различные трюки; и Freestyle Show. Гостей ждало показательное шоу от профессиональных атлетов Gorilla Pro Team, специально приглашенных гостeй из России: Андрея Ануфриева (Санкт—Петербург), freeski; Аркадия Казакова (Кировск), freeski; Антона Саморокова (Норильск), snowbord; АртемаУшакова (Санкт-Петербург), snowbord. Они же и оценивали состязания среди участников, заряжая всех мощными ощущениями и эмоциями. К сожалению, Gorilla Winter Jungleпроводится всего один раз в год, а этого недостаточно, как для райдеров, так и для зрителей.

“If we objectively look at the sports component, then Russia has gone a few steps ahead, and the guys who participated in this kind of competition are already competing at the Olympic Games held in Beijing, one of the participants even reached the final,” shares Stepan Deonisiev, the winner among pro snowboarders in the Big Air and Jibbing categories. - Therefore, it is necessary to invest in the development of these disciplines, build snow parks, and it is very good that this is supported by Gorilla Winter Jungle and held on Shimbulek, because here is one of the coolest locations. Since the inclusion of disciplines in the program of the Olympic Games, the “underground” on the ski slopes has slightly decreased, the level of professionalism of the participants has increased, but the spirit of freedom has not gone away. We come up with our own tricks and perform them.”

«Если объективно смотреть на спортивную составляющую, то Россия ушла вперед нанесколько шагов, и ребята, которые участвовали в такого рода соревнованиях уже выступаютна Олимпийских играх, прошедших в Пекине, один из участников даже дошел до финала, -делится Степан Деонисьев, победитель среди сноубордистов-профи в категориях Big Air иJibbing. - Потому нужно вкладываться в развитие этих дисциплин, строить snow парки и оченьхорошо, что это поддерживает Gorilla Winter Jungle и проводит на Шимбулеке, ведь здесь однаиз самых крутых локаций. С момента включения дисциплин в программу Олимпийских игр, «андеграунда» на лыжных трассах немного поубавилось, возрос уровень профессионализмаучастников, но никуда не делся дух свободы. Мы сами придумываем себе трюки и ихисполнение».

According to the results of the competition, Stepan Deonisiev became the best snowboarder of the pro category in the Big Air discipline. The second place was taken by Zhomart Kumakbaev, and the third result was shown by Adlet Urazbaev. The winners in the “amateur” category of AM snowboarders were Dmitry Bukhnin, silver went to Almaz Smailkulov (Kyrgyzstan), bronze went to Ramzan Dobagaev. Artyom Afanasiev, Daulet Isaev, Nurdaulet Aitmolda became the winners among skiers on Big Air kickers.

По итогам соревнований лучшим сноубордистом категории pro в дисциплине Big Air сталСтепан Деонисьев. Второе место взял Жомарт Кумакбаев, а третий результат показал АдлетУразбаев. Победителями в «любительской» категории сноубордистов AM стали ДмитрийБухнин, серебро у Алмаза Смайлкулова (Кыргызстан), бронза - Рамзан Добагаев. Победителямисреди лыжников на кикерах Big Air стали Артём Афанасьев, Даулет Исаев, Нурдаулет Айтмолда.

The only girl participating in the competition was snowboarder Alexandra Starynina. Although the competitions were not divided into gender standards, Alexandra managed to show and prove herself in her skills.

Единственной девушкой, участницей в состязаниях, стала сноубордистка Александра Старынина. Хотя соревнования не делились на гендерные нормативы, Александра сумелапоказать и проявить себя в мастерстве.

“Despite the fact that I have been fond of snowboarding since childhood, I began to look at this sport professionally for only two years. This is my second competition in which I am taking part. Unfortunately, my level does not yet allow me to compete on equal terms with male riders, and there was no women's classification this year, and, of course, I will try to develop further. And I would like to see more girls in this sport on the professional arena,” the participant shares.

«Несмотря на то, что я с детства увлекаюсь сноубордом, профессионально на этот вид спорта ястала смотреть всего два года. Это мое второе соревнование, в котором я принимаю участие. К сожалению, мой уровень пока не позволяет на равных соперничать с райдерами - мужчинами, да и женского зачета в этом году не было и, конечно, я буду стараться и дальше развиваться. Даи девчонок в этом виде спорта на профессиональной арене хотелось бы видеть больше», -делится участница.
