The third season of the Next Designer Award empowered by Visa took place in Almaty

В Алматы состоялся финал III сезона конкурса для молодых дизайнеров Next Designer Award empowered by Visa

On August 15, 2024, the final of the III season of the Next Designer Award empowered by Visa took place in Almaty. This competition, organized by Visa and Visa Fashion Week Almaty, has become an important platform for talented designers from Kazakhstan, giving them the opportunity to showcase their collections to a wide audience.

15 августа 2024 года в Алматы состоялся финал III сезона конкурса для молодых дизайнеров Next Designer Award empowered by Visa. Этот конкурс, организованный Visa и Visa Fashion Week Almaty, стал важной площадкой для талантливых модельеров из Казахстана, предоставив им возможность заявить о себе и представить свои коллекции широкой аудитории. 

The main goal of the competition is to support emerging designers, providing them with the conditions for development and the chance to present their work on a professional stage. In the new season, participants from across Kazakhstan had the opportunity to compete for the prestigious title and valuable prizes. The winner received a grant of $10,000 from Visa to produce their collection and participate in the 10th anniversary season of Visa Fashion Week Almaty.

Главной целью конкурса является поддержка начинающих дизайнеров, создание для них условий для развития и возможность представить свои работы на профессиональной арене. В новом сезоне конкурса участники со всего Казахстана получили шанс побороться за престижный титул и ценные призы. Победитель получил грант на сумму $10,000 от Visa на пошив коллекции и участие в юбилейном 10 сезоне Visa Fashion Week Almaty.

The competition is held in two stages: initially, participants submit concepts and sketches, from which 10 finalists are selected to showcase their mini-collections. The works are evaluated based on several criteria, including innovation, relevance, and collection coherence.

Конкурс проводится в два этапа: вначале участники представляют концепты и эскизы, из которых отбираются 10 финалистов для демонстрации своих мини-коллекций. Работы оцениваются по нескольким критериям, включая новизну, актуальность и целостность коллекции. 

The works were assessed according to several criteria: idea, novelty and relevance, design, materials and forms, color scheme and integrity of the collection.

Asem Gabbasova - co-founder of Visa Fashion Week Almaty and Visa Fashion Week Tashkent

Saken Zhaksybaev - fashion producer, designer and founder of the ZhSaken brand

Larisa Azanova - editor-in-chief of Harper's BAZAAR Kazakhstan magazine, publisher of Harper's BAZAAR Kazakhstan, Esquire, ELLE magazines

Aigul Amirzhanova - General Director of VILED Group

Danara Usmanova - Commercial Director of SAKS Fifth Avenue Almaty & VILED Style Astana

Ainur Kopbasarova - Director of the Abay Opera House

Zhanna Kan - founder of Zhanna Kan Group: DAMIANI, Constella, ZARDOZI, La Perla, women's community "ALTO" and the 60+ club "Senior Club".

Оценивали работы по нескольким критериям: идея, новизна и актуальность, конструкция, материалы и формы, цветовое решение и целостность коллекции. В состав жюри III сезона NDA вошли:

Лариса Азанова — главный редактор журнала Harper's BAZAAR Kazakhstan, издатель журналов Harper'sBAZAAR Kazakhstan, Esquire, ELLE

Айгуль Амиржанова — генеральный директор VILED Group

Данара Усманова — коммерческий директор SAKS Fifth Avenue Almaty & VILED Style Astana

Айнур Копбасарова-Директор Казахского Национального театра оперы и балета имени Абая

At the end of the evening, the finalists were able to receive many additional prizes from VFW and partners, namely:
A photo shoot for Harpers Bazaar magazine was won by - Marie Ayrapetyan, Kai Teru, Nurdaulet Dosmagambetov, Altynbek Yesenov, Aizhan Beisembayeva.
Special prize - participation in the IV season of Visa Fashion Week Tashkent won Aizhan Beisembayeva
Special prize - participation in the X season of Visa Fashion Week Almaty won Fariza Bekimbet
Special prize - release of a collection in collaboration with the Zardozi brand won Saltanat Abdildayeva

And of course the winners of the evening:
3rd place - release of a collection in collaboration with the designer ZHSAKEN won Mari Ayrapetyan
2nd place - exhibition of the collection in Saks Fifth Avenue Almaty won Ulzhan Berkinbay
1st place - a grant from Visa for $ 10,000 for sewing a collection and participation in the X season of Visa Fashion Week Almaty won Aiken Derbisalieva.

По итогам вечера финалисты смогли получить множество дополнительных призов от VFW и партнеров, а именно:

Съемку для журнала Harpers Bazaar выиграли - Мари Айрапетян, Кай Теру, Нурдаулет Досмагамбетов, Алтынбек Есенов, Айжан Бейсембаева.

Специальный приз – участие в IV сезоне Visa Fashion Week Tashkent выиграла Айжана Бейсембаева

Специальный приз – участие в X сезоне Visa Fashion Week Almaty выиграла Фариза Бекимбет 

Специальный приз – выпуск коллекции с коллаборации с брендом Zardozi выиграла Салтанат Абдилдаева

И конечно же призеры вечера:

3 место - выпуск коллекции в коллаборации с дизайнером ZHSAKEN выиграла Мари Айрапетян

2 место - выставление коллекции в Saks Fifth Avenue Almaty выиграла Улжан Беркинбай

1 место - грант от Visa на 10.000$ на пошив коллекции и участие в X сезоне Visa Fashion Week Almaty выиграла Айкен Дербисалиева
