Festival of Opera and Ballet

The gala-concert ended the festival of opera and ballet in honor of the 85th anniversary of the Abay Opera House in the city of Almaty. The repertoire includes legendary performances that make up the golden fund of the theater and have enjoyed the constant interest and love of the audience over the years. The guests of the festival were given a unique opportunity to see performances in which the best of the past was preserved and innovative artistic solutions were boldly used. A real gift to the friends of the theater was the participation of domestic and foreign stars of opera and ballet art. During the days of the performances, the guests of the theater could visit the exhibition “Legends of the Abay Opera House”. Spectators saw rare archival photographs and stage costumes of outstanding opera and ballet theater artists from the legendary collection of the the Abay Opera House Museum. Guests were greeted by the music of the greatest composers of world classics. The festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the Kazakhstan Culture in the Modern World program.

Гала- концертом закончился фестиваль оперы и балета в честь 85- го юбилея ГАТОБ им. Абая в городе Алматы. В репертуар вошли легендарные спектакли, составляющие золотой фонд театра и пользующиеся неизменным интересом и любовью зрителей на протяжении многих лет. Гостям фестиваля была предоставлена уникальная возможность увидеть постановки, в которых сохранено лучшее из прошлого и смело используются новаторские художественные решения. Настоящим подарком друзьям театра стало участие отечественных и зарубежных звезд оперного и балетного искусства. В дни спектаклей гости театра могли посетить выставку «Легенды ГАТОБ». Зрители увидели редкие архивные фотографии и сценические костюмы выдающихся оперных и балетных артистов театра из легендарной коллекции музея ГАТОБ им. Абая. Гостей ждала встреча с музыкой величайших композиторов мировой классики. Фестиваль проходил при поддержке Министерства культуры и спорта Республики Казахстан в рамках программы Казахстанская культура в современном мире.
