By the end of the 87th theatrical season, the Abay Opera House prepared for his viewers two long-awaited premieres of the mono-opera «The Human Voice» by Francis Poulenc, «Telephone» by Gian Carlo Menotti, «Waiting» by Mikael Tariverdiev and the ballet «Spartacus» by Aram Khachaturian.

К концу 87-го театрального сезона Казахский национальный академический театр оперы и балета им. Абая подготовил для своих зрителей две долгожданные премьеры монооперы «Человеческий голос» Франсиса Пуленка, «Телефон» Дж.К. Менотти, «Ожидание» Микаэля Таривердиева и балет «Спартак» Арама Хачатуряна.

June 5 and 6 on the big stage of the Abay Opera House will host the premiere of a mono-opera by Russian director Mikhail Pandzhavidze. The story of three diverse performances will be presented by the leading soloists of the opera company.

5 и 6 июня на большой сцене КазНАТОБ им. Абая состоится премьера монопер от российского режиссера Михаил Панджавидзе. История из трех разноплановых спектаклей будет представлена ведущими солистами оперной труппы.

«The distance from concept to implementation is enormous. Sketches are always beautiful and I want everything to look the same on stage. Now a lot of work is going on with both opera soloists and the production team. On the stage of the theater, a rather unusual set design is expected, which requires careful study and rather painstaking work. Much depends on a large number of details, since mono-opera is a chamber genre in which one cannot hide behind large staging effects and scenery. I think we will surprise and delight the viewer with our new solutions in the performances, which will be worthily included in the repertoire of the national theater», - says stage director Mikhail Pandzhavidze (Russia).

«От замысла до воплощения дистанция огромного размера. Эскизы всегда красивы и хочется, чтоб и на сцене всё выглядело так же. Сейчас идет огромная работа как с оперными солистами, так и с постановочной командой. На сцене театра предполагается достаточно необычное сценографическое решение, которое требует тщательной проработки и достаточно кропотливого труда. Многое зависит от большого количества деталей, поскольку монопера- камерный жанр, в котором не спрячешься за большие постановочные эффекты и декорации. Думаю, мы удивим и порадуем зрителя нашими новыми решениями в постановках, которые достойно войдут в репертуар национального театра.»- говорит режиссер-постановщик Михаил Панджавидзе (Россия).

The mono-opera The Human Voice by Francis Poulenc tells the story of a telephone conversation in which the life of the protagonist changes dramatically in a short period of time; where the gamut of subtle nuances of human feelings is conveyed through the «deaf» telephone communication. Gian Carlo Menotti, creating the opera «Telephone», immediately understood that it would not be able to compose a single piece for a full-fledged opera evening, and that it should always go in conjunction with other compositions. So the mono-opera «Telephone» is organically combined with two, framing simple human stories. «Waiting» by Mikael Tariverdiev also brings the audience back to the conversation about love, disappointment, faith and hope. Experiences and expectations that live in everyone's heart. The viewer experiences, together with the main characters of the production, changes in the character of the characters and their views on life changes.

Моноопера «Человеческий голос» Франсиса Пуленка рассказывает историю одного телефонного разговора, в котором за короткий промежуток времени кардинально меняется жизнь главной героини; где передана гамма тонких нюансов человеческих чувств через «глухую» телефонную связь. Джан Карло Менотти, создавая оперу «Телефон», сразу понимал, что она не сможет составить единственное сочинение для полноценного оперного вечера, и что она всегда должна идти в связке с другими сочинениями. Так моноопера «Телефон» органично сочетается с двумя, обрамляющими простыми людскими историями. Микаэл Таривердиев в своей опере «Ожидание» также возвращает зрителей к разговору о любви, разочаровании, вере и надежде. Переживания и ожидания, которые живут в сердце каждого. Зритель переживает вместе с главными героями постановки перемены в характере персонажей и их взглядах на жизненные изменения.

Separately, I would like to note the work on the costumes and decorations, which were developed by the artist Gary Hummel. The sketches are presented in different manifestations of Art Nouveau design and create a kind of performance in the image of heroes, which certainly enhances the impression of what you see, creates the necessary accent in the productions and form a unique synthesis.

Отдельно хочется отметить работу над костюмами и декорациями, которые разработал художник Гари Гуммель. Эскизы представлены в разных проявлениях дизайна в стиле модерн и создают некий перформанс в образе героев, что безусловно усиливает впечатление от увиденного, создает нужный акцент в постановках и образуют уникальный синтез.
