Why did you choose to become a veterinarian?

«I am not a hereditary doctor. My parents never kept pets at home and had nothing to do with veterinary medicine. My purpose was determined by my love for animals, interest in their study and desire to take care of them. The childhood dream of becoming «Doctor Aibolit» very soon turned into a conscious choice of a future profession. In a firm, persuasive manner, I announced to my parents my decision to become a veterinarian».

Почему Вы выбрали профессию ветеринар?

«Я не потомственный врач. Мои родители никогда не держали дома животных и не имели отношения к ветеринарии. Мое предназначение было определено любовью к животным, интересом к их изучению и желанием заботиться о них. Детская мечта стать «Доктором Айболитом» очень скоро превратилась в осознанный выбор будущей профессии. В твердой, убедительной форме я объявила родителям о своем решении стать ветеринаром».

What is the most pleasant in your work, and what is the most difficult?

«I'm afraid to sound trite, but nevertheless, the most pleasant thing is the discharge, the most difficult thing is to report the death of the patient to the owner. It can also be difficult when the owners deceive and thereby harm the patient. For example, they say that they follow all the doctor's orders, but this is not so. Or when they make the decision to stop the recommended treatment».

Что самое приятное в Вашей работе, а что самое сложное? 

«Боюсь прозвучать банально, но тем не менее самое приятное – это выписка, самое сложное – это сообщать о гибели пациента владельцу. Еще бывает сложно, когда владельцы обманывают и тем самым вредят пациенту. Например, говорят, что выполняют все предписания врача, а это не так. Или, когда онипринимают решение отменить рекомендованное лечение». 

How did you come up with the idea to open a СVM - a modern, well-equipped veterinary clinic?

«In 2006, I met Alena Kuznetsova. At that time, I was a practicing veterinarian, and Alena brought an Akita Inu puppy to Almaty. The baby arrived as a funny long-legged puppy, and from the first days I became her doctor. Mutual understanding, respect and trust arose between Alena and me from the very beginning of our acquaintance. At the end of 2010, Alena offered me cooperation in the creation of a new veterinary clinic. Organizing an enterprise from scratch is a risky idea, but who does not take risks does not drink champagne! We took on the project with great enthusiasm. We had both difficulties and joys from the realized ideas. We relied on quality, professionalism, modernity and versatility and did not lose! In 2011, the doors of the TsVM opened for owners and their pets in need of help».

Как появилась идея открыть ЦВМ - современную, оснащённую ветеринарную клинику? 

«В 2006 году я познакомилась с Алёной Кузнецовой. Я тогда была практикующим ветеринаром, а Алена привезла в Алматы щенка Акита-Ину. Малышка прилетела смешным длинноногим щенком, и я с первых дней стала ее доктором. Взаимное понимание, уважение и доверие возникло между мной и Аленой с самого начала знакомства. В конце 2010 года Алёна предложила мне сотрудничество в создании новой ветеринарной клиники. Организовать предприятие с нуля - идея рисковая, но кто не рискует, тот не пьет шампанское! Мы взялись за проект с огромным энтузиазмом. Были у нас и сложности, и радости от реализованных идей. Мы сделали ставку на качество, профессионализм, современность и универсальность и не прогадали! В 2011 году двери ЦВМ открылись для хозяев и их любимцев, нуждающихся в помощи».

What are the most unusual animals brought to be treated at the CVM?

«Oh, for 10 years of practice, we have visited very different animals: these are noses, and meerkats, huge snakes, chameleons, iguanas, lion cubs, tiger cubs, cubs, porcupines ... We cooperate with the Almaty Zoo and used to work with the circus, monitored health circus animals. For me personally, the goat was the most unusual patient. An adult, huge, with big horns, he stood in our treatment room, received a dropper and chewed hay from a bag».

Каких самых необычных животных привозили лечиться в ЦВМ? 

«Ох, за 10 лет практики у нас побывало очень разных животных: это и носухи, и сурикаты, огромные змеи, хамелеоны, игуаны, львята, тигрята, медвежата, дикобразы… Мы сотрудничаем с Алматинским зоопарком и раньше работали с цирком, следили за здоровьем цирковых животных. Лично для меня самым необычным пациентом был козел. Взрослый, огромный, с большими рогами он стоял у нас в процедурном кабинете, получал капельницу и жевал сено из пакета». 

Tell us about the «Road Home» campaign and other promotions of the clinic?

«The idea of such a large-scale charitable program came to me a long time ago. And I am grateful to TM Purina for supporting our project. First of all, this is such a boomerang of kindness: I took a dog or a cat from a shelter - I received a gift! Secondly, when it comes to the placement of homeless animals in families, many are stopped by fear. What if this dog or cat is sick with something? What if I don't make it? And to dispel these fears, we are giving a Support Package. This is a therapist appointment 2 times a year, a narrow specialist appointment, an ultrasound complex, a complex of analyzes, vaccination, chipping, 12 sessions with a cynologist at the CVM DOM + 2 online consultations with a zoopsychologist, and 5 zootaxi trips. All this is completely free for the new owner. That is, each pet that is attached under the Way Home program receives such an extensive set of services as a gift as a dowry. This is the first such innovative program for Kazakhstan. Over 80 animals have been adopted within 6 months under the Way Home program. I think it's a great result».

Расскажите об акции «Дорога домой» и других акциях клиники? 

«Идея такой масштабной благотворительной программы у меня зародилась давно. И я благодарна ТМ Пурина за то, что они поддержали наш проект.
