Mall Aport opens a series of exhibitions dedicated to the history of the native land

Молл Апорт открывает серию выставок, посвященных истории родного края

On January 25, the largest mall in the country, Aport, opened the exhibition «The Great Silk Road: from Shelek to Talgar», organized jointly with the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum «Issyk». This exhibition was the first in the series «History of the native land». The exhibition tells about the history of the emergence of the Great Silk Road and the flourishing of its Zhetysu section, which entailed the emergence and development of medieval cities on the territory of the modern Almaty region.

25 января в крупнейшем молле страны Апорт открылась выставка «Великий Шелковый путь: от Шелека до Талгара», организованная совместно с Государственным историко-культурным заповедником-музеем «Иссык». Данная выставка стала первой из серии «История родного края». Выставка рассказывает об истории возникновения Великого Шелкового пути и расцвете его Жетысуйского отрезка, повлекшего за собой появление и развитие средневековых городов на территории современной Алматинской области.

It is here that the ruins of the ancient settlements Kastek, Enbekshi, Talgar, Shelek, Kayalyk were found, which were centers of science, politics, crafts, trade and culture for several centuries. Developed cities with the correct geography of streets were equipped with advanced inventions of the time and were equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable life.

Именно здесь найдены руины городищ Кастек, Енбекши, Талгар, Шелек, Каялык, которые представляли собой центры науки, политики, ремесел, торговли и культуры на протяжении нескольких веков. Развитые города с правильной географией улиц были оснащены передовыми изобретениями того времени и благоустроены всем необходимым для комфортной жизни.

The exposition presents 50 unique finds of medieval cities and settlements: earthenware, bronze and iron dishes, bronze and copper jewelry and stripes on clothes, arrowheads, lamps, and a musical instrument. A special place in the exposition is occupied by a unique treasure of coins from Talgar. All exhibits date back to the period of the VIII-XIII centuries.

В экспозиции представлены 50 уникальных находок средневековых городов и поселений: глиняная, бронзовая и железная посуда, бронзовые и медные украшения и нашивки на одежду, наконечники стрел, светильники, музыкальный инструмент. Особое место в экспозиции занимает уникальный клад монет из Талгара. Все экспонаты датируемы периодом VIII-XIII вв.

«The exhibition tells about the cultural heritage of the Zhetysu region of the medieval period. This period of history is extremely rich in political and other events. The Karluk Kaganate was replaced by the Karakhanid state, the decisive influence was exerted by the Karakitai and Naimans. Even more influenced by the invasion of Genghis Khan at the beginning of the XIII century. Not everything can be judged by historical sources; they are extremely scarce for a full-fledged reconstruction of history. Authentic artifacts of archeological monuments are the most irrefutable historical source», - says Boris Zheleznyakov, head of the department of the Talgar settlement monument of the Issyk State Reserve-Museum, doctoral student of archeology and ethnology.

«Выставка рассказывает о культурном наследии региона Жетысу средневекового периода. Этот период истории крайне насыщен политическими и иными событиями. Карлукский каганат сменило Караханидское государство, решающее влияние оказывали каракитаи и найманы. Еще больше повлияло нашествие Чингизхана в начале XIII в. Далеко не обо всем можно судить по историческим источникам, они крайне скудны для полноценной реконструкции истории. Подлинные артефакты памятников археологии являются самым неопровержимым историческим источником», – говорит Борис Железняков, заведующий отделом памятника «городище Талгар» Государственного заповедника-музея «Иссык», докторант археологии и этнологии.

The State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum «Issyk», located on the highway of the Great Silk Road, is one of the strategically important objects for the development of cultural tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The museum is located on an area of 422.7 hectares on the outskirts of the city of Almaty, which includes 80 mounds of the Issyk burial ground, the ancient Saka settlements of Rakhat, Oricty and the Talgar settlement, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Государственный историко-культурный заповедник-музей «Иссык», расположенный на магистрали Великого Шелкового пути, является одним из стратегически важных объектов развития культурного туризма Республики Казахстан. Музей расположен на площади 422,7 га в предместьях города Алматы, куда входят 80 курганов могильника Иссык, древние сакские городища Рахат, Орикты и городище Талгар, вошедшее в состав Всемирного Наследия ЮНЕСКО.

The fund of the reserve-museum has about 3 thousand exhibits, consisting mainly of archaeological collections.

Фонд заповедника-музея насчитывает около 3-х тысяч экспонатов, состоящих в основном из археологических коллекций.

It will be possible to get acquainted with the history of the native land and see how the inhabitants of Zhetysu lived and what they did several centuries ago, based on the presented archaeological finds, until the end of February. The exhibition is located in the new line of the mall on the Alley of Arts.

Познакомиться поближе с историей родного края и увидеть, как жили и чем занимались жители Жетысу несколько веков назад по представленным археологическим находкам можно будет до конца февраля. Выставка располагается в новой очереди молла на Аллее искусств.
