About Bahareh Ardakani

Bahareh Ardakani, co-founder and artistic director of ArdAzAei, was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1984 and emigrated to Sweden before her first birthday. She studied Mathematics and Design Engineering, later pursuing Gemmology in Antwerp. Her design philosophy is inspired by the perception of the internal and external beauty of a gemstone, where the outer radiance reflects the eternal time within.

When I envisioned ArdAzAei, my ambition was to create designs where the care for craftsmanship is equal to the care for the world around us. I found inspiration in the eternal time within a gemstone, which I believe represents a new luxury. We are proud to present a prêt-à-porter collection entirely made from natural, organic fabrics, inspired by the haute couture collection "The Diffraction of Light." It includes 26 Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified pieces and a vegetable-tanned leather capsule.

The third collection "Souvenirs" highlights the signature of the ArdAzAei woman—confident and independent. This is expressed through archetypal silhouettes, rebellious tailoring, and strong shoulders. The collection features denim and leather looks with a rock'n'roll vibe and bold prints inspired by gemstones and Persian floral patterns.

Who is the ArdAzAei woman? She is someone who appreciates the complexity of fabric development, organic materials, and attention to detail. We focus on both the exterior and interior of our pieces, just as the outer gloss of a gemstone is a result of the light diffracting through its interior. The ArdAzAei woman's radiance begins with the softness of the silks against her skin, embodying a new, private luxury.

About the Brand

ArdAzAei was founded in 2018 by Bahareh Ardakani and her partner in Stockholm and debuted at Paris Haute Couture Week in 2022. The brand combines Scandinavian Modernism, Persian heritage, and French savoir-faire, aiming to set new standards for responsibly produced high fashion. ArdAzAei prêt-à-porter is crafted in collaboration with Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV)-awarded and GOTS-certified ateliers in France, with leather pieces and shoes manufactured in specialist ateliers in Italy.
