The presentation of «Astana Art Fest»

On January 22 in «Cafe del Mar» Almaty in the territory of VILLA Boutiques & Restaurants complex has passed presentation of the International Festival of Contemporary Art, Architecture and Design «Astana Art Fest»,

which is supported at the state level and is intended to bring the art of Kazakhstan to a new stage of development. The event was organized to announce an open competition; the application for participation will be accepted until April 15, 2016. Festival will be held during the celebration of the Capital Day in Astana from 4 to 6 July, and those who do will be the winner of the contest will have the opportunity to exhibit their work.

22 января в «Cafe del Mar» Алматы, на территории комплекса VILLA Boutiques & Restaurants прошла презентация Международного фестиваля современного искусства, архитектуры и дизайна «Astana Art Fest», который поддерживается на государственном уровне и призван вывести искусство Казахстана на новую ступень развития. Данное мероприятие было организованно с целью объявить конкурс открытым, заявки на участие будут приниматься до 15 апреля 2016 г., сам фестиваль пройдет во время празднования Дня Столицы в Астане с 4 по 6 июля, а те, кто все-таки станет победителями конкурса, будут иметь возможность выставить свои работы.

This will be the second festival «Astana Art Fest», the first took place during the celebration of the Capital Day in the past year, it was devoted to the upcoming Exhibition EXPO 2017 theme of the festival last year was «Energy of the Future» in three forms: solar, water and air. The theme of the coming festival: «Human Energy», that is, participants should begin to explore the potential of human energy. The festival program includes: design, architecture, music, public art, media art, performance. The works selected by the curatorial team consisting of: contemporary art - Aygerim Kapar; Design / Industrial Design - Timur Actaev; architecture / urban studies - Eldar Hasanov; Music DJ / VJ - Nurbergen Makhambetov, modern theater - Raziya Hasanova; media art - Dina Nurpeisova.

Это будет уже второй фестиваль «Astana Art Fest», первый проходил во время празднования Дня Столицы в прошлом году, он был посвящен предстоящей выставке EXPO 2017, темой фестиваля прошлого года была «Энергия будущего» в трех проявлениях: энергия солнца, воды и воздуха. Тема грядущего фестиваля: «Human Energy», то есть участники должны будут начать исследование потенциала энергии человека. В программу фестиваля входят: дизайн, архитектура, музыка, паблик-арт, медиа-арт, перформанс. Работы отбираются кураторским коллективом, состоящим из: современное искусство – Айгерим Капар; дизайн /промдизайн – Тимур Актаев; архитектура /урбанистика – Эльдар Хасанов; музыка DJ/ VJ – Нурберген Махамбетов, современный театр – Рaзия Хасанова; медиа-арт – Дина Нурпеисова.

The speakers at the presentation were: Anuar Nurpeisov, organizer Astana Art Fest, head of the youth resource center «Astana Zhastary” and Myra Izmailovа, organizer of Astana Art Fest, director of the Funk agency. In the evening was a special guest from Berlin, Luke Bennett, member of the video art group Transforma, he introduced the audience with his audio - video installations, and then answered questions from the audience. In addition, attended the presentation could see the creation of Kazakh artists and industrial designers, among which were the work of those who are already quite popular, for example, pictures of the artist and illustrator Mimi Ilnitskaya and artist Charly Sword.

В качестве спикеров на презентации выступили: Ануар Нурпеисов, организатор Astana Art Fest, руководитель молодежного ресурсного центра «Астана жастары», и Майра Измайлова, организатор Astana Art Fest, директор агентства Funk. Вечер посетил специально приглашенный гость из Берлина, Luke Bennett, участник видео-арт группы Transforma, он познакомил зрителей со своими аудио - видео инсталляциями, а затем ответил на вопросы присутствующих. Кроме того, посетили презентации могли увидеть творения казахстанских художников и промышленных дизайнеров, среди которых были работы тех, кто уже довольно-таки популярен, например, рисунки художника и иллюстратора Мими Ильницкой и художницы Чарли Сворд.
