Guests who book the premium Abyss Champagne package receive a unique bottle of champagne from LeClerc Briant. Leclerc Briant Cuvee Abyss Brut Zero Champagne is aged at a depth of 60 meters in the Atlantic Ocean for 10 months. The pressure inside the bottle matches the pressure of the water around it, and it is lowered and raised according to a biodynamic calendar. And as a result of the bottle’s exposure to the environment, the taste and aroma of the drink acquire marine notes.

After drinking the champagne, the couple will be able to choose a coral reef in the hotel’s coral garden and “plant” the bottle in it, preserving the memory of the moment and contributing to the restoration of the coral reef. The empty bottle, attached to the reef, will provide the necessary minerals for its growth. Photos of the growing coral will be sent to the couple regularly throughout the year or can be seen in person during their next stay at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli.
