The dream vacation

Maldives became the 29th country I had the fortune to visit. I’m very glad to share my impressions.

At first was the Flight Almaty-Dubai-Male-Gan. Guests were brought directly to the Villingili island on the boat, which is included in the Addu atoll, the extreme northern point of the Maldives. The Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa has invited me as a famous blogger from Kazakhstan to enjoy the resort. By the way, the road from Male to Villingili passes the equator, certificates on its overcoming are issued to passengers in the airplane. Maldives airlines give access to their Mooninaa louge zone for some hotels, of course, the luxurious Shangri-La Vilingili Resort & SPA among them. Fresh tropical fruits and a virtual transition from a noisy city to a paradise on earth: even the time in the Maldives seems to be slower. All Maldivians are very friendly, and this sincere friendliness is very captive. It was incredibly hospital that on the pier of the Shangri-La hotel - a word that is often used to refer to a lost paradise - we were met by the charming general manager of the hotel, Mr. Philippe Claverot. Fresh coconut and tropical flowers, as symbols of a different reality, the time seemed to stop, so we enjoyed every second of our stay on this magical island.

Мальдивы стали 29-й страной, которую мне посчастливилось посетить. Очень хочу поделиться своими впечатлениями.

Сначала перелёт Алматы-Дубай-Мале-Ган, а оттуда гостей на катере привезли непосредственно на остров Villingili, входящий в атолл Адду, это - крайняя северная точка Мальдивских островов. И именно здесь находится пригласивший меня в гости, как популярного блогера из Казахстана, отель Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa. Кстати, дорога из Мале в Виллингили проходит через экватор, сертификаты о его преодолении пассажирам выдают ещё в самолёте. Мальдивские авиалинии дают доступ в свою лаунж-зону mooninaa louge для некоторых отелей, конечно, роскошный Shangri-La Vilingili Resort&SPA в их числе. Здесь свежие тропические фрукты и некий виртуальный переход из шумного города в рай на земле: даже время на Мальдивах как будто идет медленнее. Все мальдивцы очень приветливые, и эта искренняя приветливость подкупает. Невероятно приятно, что на пирсе отеля Shangri-La, - слово, которое часто используется для обозначения затерянного рая, - нас встречает очаровательный генеральный управляющий отеля, Мр.Филипп Клаверот. Свежий кокос и тропические цветы, как символы иной реальности, время будто остановилось, чтобы мы насладились каждой секундой пребывания на этом волшебном острове.

A note for the food lovers

About the food I will tell you separately: I am «fruit addicted» and the local assortment of fruit has amazed my imagination! Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa serves up to 18-20 kinds of fruits in the morning - I did not see such a variety in any five-star hotel in Asia before! To six restaurants, bars and lounge areas on the island, you can choose dinner on an exclusive system Dine By Design - this is one of ten locations, «culinary travel» to different regions. For example, on a yacht at the equator level, dinner in the jungle, on the Villingili hill and even a SPA dinner, which is designed to restore your healthy balance and energy reserve. Barbecue on the golf course by candlelight was amazing: I just laied down before supper on the softest grass carpet and looked at the clear sky strewn with stars... And, of course, made a million wishes, looking at the Milky Way, which is visible as in the palm of your hand here on the equator. Fresh fish, the best wine from all regions of the world and the breeze of the Indian Ocean - in the restaurant Fashala dinner in the company of the General Manager of the hotel, the charismatic Philip and his colleague Naji will remain in my memory forever. Philip - a virtuoso magician, showed a lot of tricks. He plans to invite to the island the best magicians of the world, including a friend of David Copperfield by the Christmas time. Book your wonderful trip in advance, because early booking is always more attractive pricewise and guarantees the best places. At the peak of the seasons the hotel has 90-99% occupancy. Until the end of March there is a special pop-up restaurant on the island - the famous Buddha Bar even sent here DJ Mario, who usually can be found only in Paris and Santorini - plan time to enjoy culinary and musical nirvana until the end of March!

Про еду расскажу отдельно: я - «фруктоманка» и здешний ассортимент фруктов поразил мое воображение! В Shangri-La's Villingili Resort & Spa на Мальдивах с утра подают до 18-20 видов фруктов - такого разнообразия я не видела ни в одном пятизвездном отеле в Азии! К шести ресторанам, барам и лаундж-зонам на острове можно выбрать ужин по эксклюзивной системе Dine By Design - это одна из десяти локаций, среди которых «кулинарные путешествия» в различные регионы. Например, на яхте на уровне экватора, ужин в джунглях, на холме Villingili и даже СПА-ужин, который призван восстановить ваш здоровый баланс и энергетический запас. Барбекю на поле для гольфа при свечах было удивительным: я просто легла перед ужином на мягчайший травяной ковёр и смотрела на чистое небо, усыпанное звёздами... Свежайшая рыба, лучшее вино со всех уголков мира и бриз индийского океана - в ресторане Fashala ужин в компании Генерального Менеджера отеля, харизматичного француза Филиппа и его коллеги Наджи (Naji) останется в памяти навсегда. Филипп - виртуоз-фокусник, показал массу трюков, а к осени и на Рождество планирует ангажировать на остров лучших фокусников мира, включая друга Дэвида Копперфильда. Успейте забронировать ваше чудесное путешествие, ведь раннее бронирование всегда более привлекательно по цене и гарантирует лучшие места. В пик сезонов в отеле 90-99% заселение. До конца марта на острове действует специальный pop-up ресторан - знаменитый Buddha Bar командировал сюда даже своего диджея Марио, которого обычно можно встретить только в Париже и на Санторини - успейте насладиться кулинарной и музыкальной нирваной до конца марта!

Maldivian Chronicles

The main transportation on the island of Villingili, which size is at the most extreme points 2.5 km by 800 m, are bicycles. It can easily reach any destination - I think this transport is very useful both the retreaters and the environment! (Although the hotel at the request can submit a buggy any time). There are 132 villas on the island, including two presidential ones, one on the ocean and the other on land, 60 villas on the water and 70 on land, 16 of which on trees - children will like it. The villa on the water in which we lived, with direct access to the ocean, struck my imagination not only by the size of 166 square meters, but also the opportunity to swim with harmless reef sharks and turtles. With other guests we meet very rarely, despite its relatively small size, the island hotel offers a lot of entertainment for the sophisticated tourists. It is in @shangrilamaldives, on the territory of 7.5 hectares located the only golf resort in the Maldives with nine holes. And, of course, there is an impeccable Spa Chi. In traditional Chinese philosophy, qi or «chi» is the universal life force that affects well-being and personal energy ballance. The concept of The CHI Spa, is based on the legend of Shangri-La, originating in the mystery of the Himalayan Mountains, as well as on healing methods that have proven themselves for millennia, embodying the philosophy and rituals of China and the Himalayas. I tried the Kandu Boli brand massage with crows, which are believed to fill the body with the healing magical energy of the ocean. Curiously, thousands of years ago it was the shells-kauri that served the people of Oceania as money and was valued as gold.

Основным средством передвижения на острове Villingili, размер которого в самых крайних точках 2,5 км на 800 м, служат велосипеды. На них легко можно добраться до любого пункта назначения - считаю этот транспорт очень полезным и для фигуры, и для экологии! (Хотя в отеле по желанию гостя в любой момент могут подать машинку-багги). На острове 132 виллы, включая две президентские, - одна на океане, а другая - на суше, 60 вилл на воде и 70- на суше, 16 из которых на деревьях - детям очень понравится. Вилла на воде, в которой мы жили, с прямым выходом в океан поразила мое воображение не только размерами 166 м2, но и возможностью поплавать с безобидными рифовыми акулами и черепашками, заплывающими каждый вечер сюда на огонёк. С другими постояльцами мы встречаемся очень редко, несмотря на свой относительно небольшой размер, остров-отель предлагает огромное количество развлечений для искушённых туристов. Именно в @shangrilamaldives, на территории 7,5 га находится единственный на Мальдивах гольф-курорт с девятью лунками. И, конечно, здесь есть безупречный СПА Chi. В традиционной китайской философии ци или «Чи» – это универсальная жизненная сила, от которой зависят благополучие и личная энергия. Концепция CHI, The Spa основана на легенде Шангри-Ла, берущей свое начало в таинстве гор Гималаи, а также на методах лечения, зарекомендовавших себя тысячелетиями, заключающими в себе философию и ритуалы Китая и Гималаев. Я попробовала фирменный массаж Kandu Boli c ракушками-каури, которые по поверью наполняют тело целительной волшебной энергией океана. Любопытно, что тысячи лет назад именно ракушки-каури служили жителям Океании деньгами и ценились на вес золота.

In the Addu Atoll, to warm up and rest every day swim flocks of dolphin spinners. And to enjoy their acrobatic pirouettes, we go out on a yacht. You can go to diving or snorkelling on it - it was especially interesting to observe the «courtship» of fish, now here is the mating season. I think that on cold days lovers can prove the power of their feelings by escaping from the cold cities on the other side of the equator, where every dawn and sunset is similar to Valentine's Day. Yoga center, inner pond, tennis and croquet fields and even a garden with organically grown greenery, which are served to the table, are also at the guests' service. The hotel is comfortable and belove by couples and parents with children. There is a separate menu and a special playground, but also a lot of entertainment provided. Some came here by quite large companies. Basically it's tourists from Arab countries, Europe and even from Australia.

В атолл Адду погреться и отдохнуть каждый день заплывают стаи дельфинов-спиннеров. И чтобы насладиться их акробатическими пируэтами, мы выходим на на яхте. На ней же можно отправиться на дайвинг или снорклинг - особенно интересно было наблюдать за «ухаживаниями» рыб, сейчас здесь брачный период. Думаю, в холодные дни влюбленные могут доказать силу своих чувств, сбежав из холодных городов по другую сторону экватора, где каждый рассвет и закат похож на День Святого Валентина. Также вниманию постояльцев Йога-центр, внутренний прудик, поля для тенниса и крокета и даже свой сад с органически выращенной зеленью, которую подают к столу. В отеле комфортно и влюблённым парочкам, и родителям с детьми, для которых разработано не только отдельное меню и специальная игровая площадка, но и масса развлечений. Некоторые приехали сюда довольно большими компаниями. В основном это туристы из арабских стран, Европы и даже из Австралии.

I leave, but I do not say goodbye!

Leave the island with the feeling that I really had a rest: I was filled with energy and new ideas, I charged more than ever! Admired by the hospitality of Shangri-La Villingili Resort & Spa - this is the highest aerobatics - already when planning a holiday, attention to every detail, from the moment of the formation of the trip and ending with the departure. Bravo! By the way, before leaving, we planted a small coral tree: the resort, so responsible for nature, tries to contribute to the preservation of the island's natural resources. In six months our coral will be a whole inch higher. And later it will turn into a new coral reef. Behind this special attitude to heaven on earth @shangrilamaldives come such stars as Alessandra Ambrosio, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, heads of state, transnational companies and, of course, everyone who loves life and herself. The hotel staff, including the general manager and the PR director, stood for a long time on the dock, escorting us along the road but we all knew that we would definitely see each other again. Special thanks to the friendly and responsible multinational staff of the hotel, each individually and collectively, starting with the management, sincerely tried to make our stay an unforgettable, comfortable and... a bit magical. I am sure that every day spent at the resort will give a lot of occasions for small holidays, and even the most cherished desires will necessarily be fulfilled.

Уезжаю, но не прощаюсь!

Покидала остров с чувством, что отдохнула по-настоящему: наполнена энергией и новыми идеями, зарядилась как никогда! Восхищена гостеприимством отеля Shangri-La Villingili Resort & Spa - это высший пилотаж - уже при планировании отдыха, внимание к каждой детали, начиная с момента формирования поездки и заканчивая отбытием. Браво! Кстати, перед отъездом мы посадили маленькое коралловое дерево: так ответственный по отношению к природе курорт пытается вносить свой вклад в сохранение природных ресурсов острова. Уже через полгода наш коралл станет на целый дюйм выше. А ещё позже превратится в новый коралловый риф. За этим особенным отношением в рай на земле @shangrilamaldives приезжают такие звезды, как Алессандра Амбросио, Ингеборга Дапкунайте главы государств, транснациональных компаний и, конечно же, все, кто любит жизнь и себя. Персонал отеля, включая генерального управляющего и пиар-директора, долго стояли на причале, провожая нас в путь-дорогу - но мы все точно знали, что обязательно ещё увидимся. Особая благодарность приветливому и ответственному многонациональному персоналу отеля, каждый по отдельности и все вместе, начиная с руководства, искренне старались сделать наше пребывание незабываемым, комфортным и... немного волшебным. Уверена, что каждый день, проведенный на курорте, подарит кучу поводов для маленьких праздников, и даже самые заветные желания обязательно исполнятся.
