In the new chapter of 10·Corso·Como, according to Tiziana Fausti’s vision, the Gallery exhibition space continues its programming dedicated to fashion culture with a special project of the designer who provoked and inspired a distinctive aesthetics and imagery: Yohji Yamamoto.

В новой главе 10·Корсо·Комо, согласно видению Тицианы Фаусти, выставочное пространство Галереи продолжает свою программу, посвященную культуре моды, специальным проектом дизайнера, который спровоцировал и вдохновил особую эстетику и образность: Йоджи Ямамото. 

Known as the poet of black, since the beginning of his career, Yamamoto’s work has been recognized for challenging the conventions of fashion. His collections have redefined the idea of beauty, subverting stereotypes in pursuit of a new geography of the body and a universal silhouette.

Известный как поэт черного цвета, с самого начала своей карьеры Ямамото был признан за то, что бросил вызов условностям моды. Его коллекции переосмыслили представление о красоте, разрушив стереотипы в поисках новой географии тела и универсального силуэта.

Organized by 10·Corso·Como and Yohji Yamamoto, the project curated by Alessio de′ Navasques - curator and professor of Fashion Archives at Sapienza University of Rome - gathers a dialogue between iconic pieces from the runway, recent and future collections, in an ascending and immersive climax. From May 16 to July 31, 2024 in the spaces of the Gallery, garments will be the protagonists in a flow where every shape, cut and geometry transmits an idea of the future and beyond time.

С 16 мая по 31 июля 2024 года в пространствах Галереи одежда станет главным действующим лицом потока, где каждая форма, крой и геометрия передают идею будущего и вне времени.

The brightness of 10·Corso·Como’s renovated gallery - returned to its essence as an industrial space- evokes a pure and linear layout to restore an infinite and universal, mysterious beauty. In a path conceived as a single installation, Yohji Yamamoto’s message to Milan and Italy as a place of creativity par excellence is clear. “I want to draw time” he had stated in the idea of continuity between past and present, which he has shared throughout his career. The exhibition itinerary examines the body of work of the designer who made poetry of structured, yet ethereal, cut and reassembled pieces – where he penetrates the space of our thoughts, our emotions – his unmistakable signature.

Яркость обновленной галереи 10·Корсо·Комо, вернувшейся к своей сути промышленного пространства, напоминает чистую и линейную планировку, восстанавливающую бесконечную, универсальную, загадочную красоту. На пути, задуманном как в одной инсталляции послание Йоджи Ямамото Милану и Италии как месту превосходного творчества ясно. «Я хочу выиграть время», — заявил он. В идее преемственности между прошлым и настоящим, которую он разделял на протяжении всей своей карьеры. Маршрут выставки исследует творчество дизайнера, создавшего поэзию из структурированных, но эфирных, вырезанных и вновь собранных частей, где он проникает в пространство наших мыслей, наших эмоций – его безошибочный почерк.

A statement on the universal meaning of form through the absolute colors white, black and red: clothes become words in a literature of the relationship between body and space. For the designer, it is not a body objectified by signs and codes of gender recognition, but it is a body that acts on the dress and transforms it: a radical fashion that enhances the interiority of the wearer.

Заявление об универсальном значении формы через абсолютные цвета: белый, черный и красный: одежда становится словами в литературе об отношениях между телом и пространством. Для дизайнера это не тело, объективированное знаками и кодами гендерного признания, а тело, которое воздействует на платье и трансформирует его: радикальная мода, которая усиливает внутреннюю сущность владельца.
