Как определить предиабет и не допустить развитие сахарного диабета 2 типа?

Leading experts of Kazakhstan in the field of endocrinology, cardiology and family medicine held a press conference on the topic: «Prediabetes - it's time to act!».

Ведущие специалисты Казахстана в области эндокринологии, кардиологии и семейной медицины провели пресс-конференцию на тему: «Предиабет – время действовать!».

Prediabetes is a condition that precedes type 2 diabetes, when blood sugar (or glucose) levels are already above normal, but have not yet reached values that would allow a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus. A person does not feel that there are already problems in the body. It is at this stage that it is extremely important to take control of the situation, consult a doctor in order to prevent the development of a more serious disease - type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Предиабет – это состояние, которое предшествует сахарному диабету 2 типа, когда показатели сахара (или глюкозы) в крови уже превышают норму, но еще не достигли значений, позволяющих поставить диагноз «сахарный диабет 2 типа». Человек не чувствует, что уже есть неполадки в организме. Именно на данном этапе, крайне важно взять ситуацию под контроль, обратиться к врачу, чтобы предотвратить развитие более серьезного заболевания – сахарный диабет 2 типа.

More than 5 million people die from diabetes mellitus every year, this is the third cause of death after cardiovascular and oncological diseases. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is one of the leading causes of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, strokes and lower limb amputations. However, already at the stage of prediabetes, people are at risk.

Ежегодно в мире от сахарного диабета умирает более 5 миллионов человек, это третья причина летальности после сердечно-сосудистых и онкологических заболеваний. Сахарный диабет 2 типа – это одна из основных причин слепоты, почечной недостаточности, инфарктов, инсультов и ампутаций нижних конечностей. Однако, уже на этапе предиабета у людей существует риск.

«Due to the epidemiological situation around the world associated with COVID-19, it was revealed that the coronavirus is especially dangerous for patients with diabetes. In such cases, the infection is more severe, and the deaths increase. In addition, the coronavirus accelerates the transition from prediabetes to type 2 diabetes», - said Gulnara Dzhunusbekova, president of the Society of Specialists in Arterial Hypertension and Cardiovascular Prevention.

«В связи с эпидемиологической ситуацией во всем мире, связанной с COVID-19, было выявлено, что коронавирус особенно опасен для больных сахарным диабетом. В таких случаях инфекция протекает тяжелее, а летальных исходов становится больше. Кроме того, коронавирус ускоряет переход предиабета в диабет 2 типа», - сказала Гульнара Джунусбекова, президент ОО «Общество специалистов по артериальной гипертонии и кардиоваскулярной профилактике».

At the event, the speakers shared their international experience in implementing programs for the detection of prediabetes and the prevention of type 2 diabetes. During the discussion, the speakers came to the conclusion that it is possible to achieve progress in solving the problem of prediabetes by organizing the joint work of doctors of various specialties: primary doctors (general practitioners/family doctors, district therapists, pediatricians) and secondary (endocrinologists, cardiologists, neuropathologists, rehabilitologists) links of health care.

На мероприятии выступающие поделились международным опытом внедрения программ по выявлению предиабета и профилактики сахарного диабета 2 типа. Во время дискуссии спикеры пришли к выводу, что достичь прогресса в решении проблемы предиабета возможно, организовав совместную работу врачей различных специальностей: врачей первичного (врачи общей практики/семейные врачи, участковые терапевты, педиатры) и вторичного (эндокринологи, кардиологи, невропатологи, реабилитологи) звена здравоохранения.

Ruslan Zakiev, President of the DARK Diabetes Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan: «Realizing the importance of early diagnosis and prevention of prediabetes and diabetes mellitus, our association initiated the launch of a social project aimed at raising awareness of the general population about the risks associated with these diseases. Within the framework of the project, an educational program will be carried out for both doctors and the general public. We are launching an educational and information site http://prediabet.kz/, where Kazakhstanis can find the most detailed information about prediabetes and diabetes, get tested and determine their risk level for developing prediabet.kz and type 2 diabetes. Having passed testing on the site, residents of 6 cities: Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Karaganda, Shymkent, Aktobe, Ust-Kamenogorsk, will have the opportunity to undergo a test for glycated hemoglobin free of charge».

Руслан Закиев, президент Диабетической Ассоциации республики Казахстан «ДАРК»: «Понимая важность ранней диагностики и профилактики предиабета и сахарного диабета, наша ассоциация инициировала запуск социального проекта, направленного на повышение уровня осведомленности широких слоев населения о рисках, сопряженных с данными заболеваниями. В рамках проекта, будет осуществляться образовательная программа как для врачей, так и для широкой общественности. Мы запускаем образовательно-информационный сайт http://prediabet.kz/, где казахстанцы смогут найти максимально подробную информацию о предиабете и диабете, пройти тестирование и определить свой уровень риска развития предиабета и сахарного диабета 2 типа. Пройдя тестирование на сайте, жители 6 городов: Алматы, Нур-Султана, Караганды, Шымкента, Актобе, Усть-Каменогорска,  получат возможность бесплатно пройти исследование на гликированный гемоглобин».
