Anniversary tour of the Abay Opera House in Astana Opera

Anniversary tours in honor of the 85th anniversary of the Abay Opera House in Kazakhstan's capital Nur-Sultan will be held on July 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2019 on the stage of the State Opera and Ballet Theater of Astana Opera.

The tour program includes legendary performances that make up the golden fund of the theater repertoire and enjoy the constant interest and love of the audience. Residents and guests of the capital will be given a unique opportunity to see performances in which the best of the past is preserved and innovative artistic solutions are safely used. This gift will be the benefit performance of the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prima the Abay Opera House Saule Rakhmedova in the cult performance of Boris Eifman «Anna Karenina» to the music of P.I. Tchaikovsky.

В программу гастролей вошли легендарные спектакли, составляющие золотой фонд репертуара театра и пользующиеся неизменным интересом и любовью зрителей. Жителям и гостям столицы будет предоставлена уникальная возможность увидеть постановки, в которых сохранено лучшее из прошлого и смело используются новаторские художественные решения. Настоящим подарком станет бенефис заслуженного деятеля Республики Казахстан, примы ГАТОБ им. Абая Сауле Рахмедовой в культовом спектакле Бориса Эйфмана «Анна Каренина» на музыку П.И. Чайковского.

The one-act operas «Rural Honor» by P. Mascagni and «Pagliacci» by R. Leoncovallo, written by composers for one competition at the end of the 19th century, will open the tour. Both operas were a smash hit with the public, but unfortunately for the authors it was the only success of their lives. Comedy performances will be interesting for family viewing - J. Rossini's opera «Cinderella» and L. Minkus ballet «Don Quixote».

The tour is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of the state program «Ruhani Zhangyru».

Откроют гастроли одноактные оперы «Сельская честь» П. Масканьи и «Паяцы» Р. Леонковалло, написанные композиторами для одного конкурса в конце XIX века. Обе оперы имели ошеломительный успех у публики, но к сожалению, для авторов это был единственный успех их жизни. Для семейного просмотра будут интересны комедийные спектакли - опера Дж. Россини «Золушка» и балет Л. Минкуса «Дон Кихот».

Гастроли проходят при поддержки Министерства культуры и спорта Республики Казахстан в рамках реализации государственной программы «Рухани Жангыру».
