Wardrobe: Luba Makarenko

Luba Makarenko – designer of the brand SAYYA by Luba Makarenko, which is the official representative of Ukraine at Kazakhstan Fashion Week Fall - Winter 2015/16. She was involved to create a collection of clothing for the Italian brand Isabel Garcia.

In March 2014, she presented this collection, which was sewn over 70,000 units sold in 5 countries, including Italy, Russia, France.

Luba told us about her fashion preferences and where the most stylish people.

Люба Макаренко – дизайнер бренда SAYYA by Luba Makarenko, который являлся официальным представителем Украины на Kazakhstan Fashion Week осень – зима 2015/16. Она была привлечена для создания коллекции одежды для итальянского бренда Isabel Garcia. В марте 2014-года она презентовала эту коллекцию, которая вскоре была отшита тиражом более 70000 единиц и продавалась в 5-ти странах мира, включая Италию, Россию, Францию.

Люба рассказала нам о своих модных предпочтениях и том, где самые стильные люди.

Styleoferasia.com: «Do you wear clothes from your collections?»

Luba Makarenko: «Yes, basically I only wear my clothes, but sometimes it happens that I stay as a «shoemaker without shoes» when people are snapping up».

Styleoferasia.com: «Носите ли Вы одежду из своих коллекций?»

Люба Макаренко: «Да, в основном я ношу только свои вещи, но иногда бывает, что я остаюсь как «сапожник без сапог», когда все раскупают».

Styleoferasia.com: «Do you have a favorite brand, in addition to yours?»

Luba Makarenko: «I really like the work of Elsa Schiaparelli, and my favorite artist - Salvador Dali, and their work is always intertwined. From contemporary designers I like Rick Owens, Stella McCartney, Chloe, of course, there are affordable brands that I like. In addition, I sympathize with many Ukrainian designers; I buy their clothes and wear, because you cannot do everything by yourself».

Styleoferasia.com: «Есть ли у Вас любимый бренд, помимо своего?»

Люба Макаренко: «Мне очень нравится творчество Эльзы Скиапарелли, а мой любимый художник – Сальвадор Дали, а их творчество всегда переплеталось. Из современных дизайнеров мне нравится Rick Owens, Stella McCartney, Chloe, конечно есть и демократичные бренды ,которые мне нравятся, кроме того, многие украинские дизайнеры мне симпатичны, я покупаю их одежду и ношу, потому что невозможно все сделать самой».

Styleoferasia.com: «What dominates in your wardrobe?»

Luba Makarenko: «Probably more comfortable clothes, because I work a lot with the tissues, with customers, a lot of meetings. It is a capsule dress from my collection, as well as trousers, t-shirts, shirts, sneakers and high heel shoes, which I often buy, but rarely wear».

Styleoferasia.com: «Что доминирует в Вашем гардеробе?»

Люба Макаренко: «Наверное, больше комфортных вещей, потому что я очень много работаю с тканями, с клиентами, много встреч. Это либо капсульные платья из моей коллекции, а также брюки, футболки, рубашки, кроссовки и туфли на каблуках, которые я часто покупаю, но редко ношу».

Styleoferasia.com: «Where do you usually buy your clothes?»

Luba Makarenko: «I love vintage shops, collect thimbles, matches. But, as corny as it may sound, I like shopping in Paris, because there is no problem with the choice. I also like Hong Kong, there is an incredible range of products, you can always find something interesting, not only European and American designers, but also Chinese, Japanese, Korean. I love Korean brands, because they have their own style».

Styleoferasia.com: «Где Вы, обычно, покупаете одежду?»

Люба Макаренко: «Люблю винтажные магазины, коллекционирую наперстки, спички. Но, как бы банально это не звучало, мне нравится шоппинг в Париже, потому что там нет проблем с выбором. Также мне нравится Гонконг, там невероятный ассортимент, всегда можно найти что-то интересное, не только европейских и американских дизайнеров, но и китайских, японских, корейских. Я очень люблю корейские бренды, потому что у них собственный стиль».

Styleoferasia.com: «Do you think the people in Almaty stylishly dressed?»

Luba Makarenko: "There is a very stylish people, but everywhere there are those who dressed just comfortably, and there are those who I want to consider. For example, in the image present some details, not flashy, but intellectually demonstrate their approach and opinion. Such people are in Almaty and I was pleased to look at them».

Styleoferasia.com: «Как Вы считаете, люди в Алматы одеты стильно?»

Люба Макаренко: «Есть очень стильные люди, но, везде есть те, кто одевается просто комфортно, а есть те, кого хочется рассматривать. Например, в образе присутствуют какие-то детали, не кричащие, а интеллектуально демонстрируют свой подход и взгляд. Такие люди в Алматы есть и на них было приятно смотреть».

Styleoferasia.com: «Do you think that in any city in the world the most stylish people?»

Luba Makarenko: «Everywhere has its own focus, its mentality, in every city there are people from which it is impossible to look away. But the Koreans and the Japanese the most interesting dressed, they have a different style, not like any western. Their fashion, their culture, it is very different from the world, and it is of interest».

Styleoferasia.com: «Как Вы считаете, в каком городе мира люди самые стильные?»

Люба Макаренко: «Везде своя направленность, свой менталитет, в каждом городе есть люди, от которых невозможно оторвать взгляд. Но, самые интересно одетые – это корейцы и японцы, у них стиль другой, не похож ни на западный. Их мода, их культура, она очень отличается от всего мира, это и вызывает интерес».
