September 15-16 will be the second festival Art Energy Almaty - Work in progress

September 15-16 with the support of the Almaty akimat will host the second festival Art Energy Almaty - WORK IN PROGRESS. «WORK IN PROGRESS» is a festival of urban communities and intra-city communications between the government, business, initiative communities, public figures. The festival was created as a co-configuration of the city, its unofficial structure, so this year the organizers set the residents of the city in unison with the overall reconstruction and repair by the name of the festival. The main action will be developed in the thematic zones of communities that will present their projects in such areas as ecology, healthy lifestyle, animal protection, charity, transport, architecture and urban space, business and social entrepreneurship, technology. The festival implies the active participation of guests in everything that happens, therefore the route for festival sites is the Way of the active citizen, social gaming, the quest, the main prize for passing of which is the Passport, which will change the status of the guest of the festival from the resident of Almaty to the Citizen of Almaty, from the city passenger to the active converter.

15-16 сентября при поддержке акимата города Алматы пройдет второй фестиваль Art Energy Almaty – WORK IN PROGRESS. «WORK IN PROGRESS» – фестиваль городских сообществ и внутригородских коммуникаций между властью, бизнесом, инициативными сообществами, общественными деятелями. Фестиваль создавался как со-настройка городу, его неофициальная структура, так что в этом году организаторы настраивают горожан в унисон повсеместной реконструкции и ремонту самим названием фестиваля. Главное действие развернется в тематических зонах сообществ, которые представят свои проекты в таких сферах как экология, здоровый образ жизни, зоозащита, благотворительность, транспорт, архитектура и городское пространство, бизнес и социальное предпринимательство, технологии. Фестиваль подразумевает активное участие гостей во всем происходящем, поэтому маршрут по фестивальным объектам – это Путь активного горожанина, социальная геймификация, квест, главный приз за прохождение которого – Паспорт, который поменяет статус гостя фестиваля с жителя Алматы на Гражданина Алматы, с городского пассажира на активного преобразователя.

Within the framework of the festival there will be panel discussions «City Dialogue» dedicated to coordination of current and future changes, channels of communication between the authorities and initiative private associations of citizens, social and cultural responsibility of business to the city, financing of civil projects, useful to the city, new «infrastructure» of public cultural projects. Among the speakers of the «City Dialogue» Almaty akim Bauyrzhan Baibek, member of the Public Council of Almaty Yerlan Smaylov, co-founder of the Urban Talks platform Anel Moldakhmetova, project manager of the UNDP-GEF «Sustainable Transport Almaty» Elena Erzakovich, representatives of business structures, associations, civil societies. Despite such a serious work agenda, the festival remains a festival. For small Almaty residents, a separate entertainment and training program has been developed from the Workshop of Design-thinking, «Community», the publishing house «Aruna», the project «IT-yard», and for the youngest - a playground. Visitors are waiting for the production of independent Almaty theaters: ArtIshok, Theater «BATA», the German Theater, Katya Nikonorova. And absolutely for all guests of Art Energy Almaty will be City&Shivers, Hadn’t Tea, Echolami, Ethnobiome, Moneykens, Steppefish, The Night, Evobiome. In addition, the guests of the festival are waiting for film screenings, art installations and the answer to the main question of Art Energy Almaty «What can I do for the city?». В рамках фестиваля пройдут панельные дискуссии «Городской диалог», посвященные координации текущих и будущих изменений, каналам коммуникаций между властью и инициативными частными объединениями горожан, социальной и культурной ответственности бизнеса перед городом, финансированию гражданских проектов, полезных городу, новой «инфраструктуре» общественных культурных проектов. В числе спикеров «Городского диалога» аким Алматы Бауыржан Байбек, член Общественного Совета Алматы Ерлан Смайлов, со-основатель платформы Urban Talks Анель Молдахметова, руководитель проекта ПРООН-ГЭФ «Устойчивый транспорт г. Алматы» Елена Ерзакович, представители бизнес-структур, общественных неправительственных объединений, гражданских сообществ. Несмотря на столь серьезную рабочую повестку, фестиваль остается фестивалем. Для маленьких алматинцев разработана отдельная развлекательная и обучающая программа от Мастерской дизайн-мышления, «Комунити», издательства «Аруна», проекта «ЭТО-двор», а для самых маленьких – игровая площадка. Театралов ждут постановки независимых алматинских театров: Артишока, Театра «БАТА», Немецкого театра, Кати Никоноровой. И абсолютно для всех гостей Art Energy Almaty выступят City&Shivers, Hadn’t Tea, Эхолами, Ethnobiome, Moneyкены, Steppefish, The Night, Evobiome. Кроме того гостей фестиваля ждут кинопоказы, арт-инсталляции и ответ на главный вопрос Art Energy Almaty «Чем я могу быть полезен городу?».
