What to discover during this 16th edition of this fair dedicated to contemporary drawing. The fauna and flora are very represented. Here and there the eye catches the gouache on paper, cut-outs by Frédérique Lucien (Galerie Jean Fournier), the tree with animals by Suzanne Husky (Drawing Now Prize 2023), the series le langue des fleurs by Anne Lise Broyer, a work in connection with the poems of Bataille de crayon on photographic gelatin with an evanescent metallic look at Galerie S, the purity of Cherry Blossom charcoal by David Nash or the fiery Zingaro by Ernest Pignon Ernest at Galerie Lelong & CO, scratchings on photography with this intriguing little relief by Raphaëlle Peria at the Galerie Papier (already presented during the previous edition) or even the nests by Shanthamani M. (one of the highlights of the fair).

There is also a lot of spirituality in the Engrams of ink and collage between landscape and abstraction by Abdelkader Benchamma at Templon or the inks of Fabienne Verdier at the Galerie Lelong & Co. or if we look at the drawings of Carolyn Carlson at the Galerie Isabelle Gounod, not to mention the painted glasses by Justin Weiler at Paris-B like contemporary stained glass (you almost expect to hear an organ tune). Sometimes we place ourselves squarely in space by following the passage of Andromeda thanks to the watercolor on cardboard of the Polish Kataryna Wiesiolek (another focus of the fair) at the Galerie Éric Dupont or the black and white "splash" of Franziska Furter at Lullin + Ferrari. It's not that the human figure is absent but unfortunately these are very obsessive drawings that don't breathe and are already seen too much. It is better to have fun with the clouds, which can be welcoming, can be invasive, with the photos of drawings by photographer Corinne Mercadier at the Galerie Binôme (Process sector). A beautiful edition, therefore, with very affordable pieces by established or emerging artists. https://www.drawingnowartfair.com/?lang=en

Много духовного есть и в энграммах чернил и коллажей между пейзажем и абстракцией Абделькадера Бенчаммы в Templon или чернилах Фабьен Вердье в Galerie Lelong & Co., или если мы посмотрим на рисунки Каролин Карлсон в Galerie Isabelle. Гуно, не говоря уже о расписных стаканах Джастина Вейлера в Paris-B, похожих на современные витражи (почти ожидаешь услышать органную мелодию).
