During the Great Patriotic War, evacuated cinema figures were settled in the house: Grigory Roshal, Boris Babochkin, Sergei Eisenstein, Vsevolod Pudovkin, the Vasiliev brothers, Ivan Pyriev. The atmosphere here is saturated with creativity. Laureate Grand Cafe tried to preserve the historical heritage of the building and succeeded.
