The Kuraga SS18 collection is inspired by the 60s in the USSR, and in particular, by the World Congress of Women, which was held in Moscow in 1963. Elizaveta Sukhinina, designer of the brand KURAGA, continues to explore the theme of positive feminism in world history. The result of this work is the collection of feminine images which refer us to pictures of  our  grandmothers:  voluminous  dresses  with  bright  geometric  prints,  straight  skirts  and raincoats.

The brand promotes the Kazakh culture, is the first one that interpreted the ethnicity in a modern way and became fond of young people. The handwriting of the brand is the use of stylized Kazakh patterns in everyday things, as well as words and citations of folk poets. The collection Spring-Summer 2018 is partly inspired by Seoul, bright and stylish youth, hanging out next to the Design Plaza. The collection uses bright red and deep black colors, a cage and a graphic print created by the designer, a game of adjoining silhouettes with oversize styles.

The best teachers of New York Film Academy come to Almaty for short-term intensive programs: Kelly Gardner, dean of the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles - a director with experience in theater, cinema and television. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of North Carolina in 1999, he moved to Washington, where he enjoyed a successful career as an actor in the theater, and also taught directing to the Theater Arena of the Library of Congress of the United States, the Smithsonian Institution and many non-profit organizations. In 2006, he entered the Masters Degree in the California Institute of Arts to continue his studies in the direction of «Film Directing». In 2009, his camera work in the film The Seawall was adopted at the famous Cannes Film Festival. Christopher Kass, Deputy Head of the Faculty of «Acting for Cinema» New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. He received a bachelor's degree in theater from the University of Georgia. On television, he starred in TV series: Ambulance, Magic Amulet, Single, Fired Up, Lady against the Mafia, Night Court and many other projects. He played in the following productions: Rounding Third, Jerusalem, Hunting Zone, RFK (Off-Broadway), Lunatics, Born in the RSA, «Much Ado About Nothing», «Off-Broadway» and «Macbeth».

Master class on acting skills is an intensive two-day practical course designed for different types of listeners. Master-class on Directing is an intensive two-day practical course designed for different types of listeners. During the passage of the intensity you will be convinced that the Director should be able to lead the team, the Director of film and television projects, as the conductor of the orchestra, inspires the ensemble of producers, actors and crew members to come together and create a unique experience for the viewer. The director is a leader who knows all aspects of film production and is able to direct each of the departments to realize the vision of his film history. Students of the course will learn to create mise-en-scenes, learn about what a modern composition of the frame is, setting and rehearsing for the camera, POV and motivated camera movement, choosing and building the best frame, and studying the Hollywood protocol and workflow on the set. Students will pass creative approaches to continuous shooting: the director's list of film crews, the plan of the film set, the scenario analysis based on the screened examples. They will understand what the definition of the key core of the scene means: the actor's choice, the director's corrections, the proposal of variants in order to avoid playing the «result», and also learn the technique of casting and rehearsals.
